Intonation Expands its Swedish Team With New Translator

The autumn has got off to a strong start at Intonation thanks to the appointment of a new Swedish translator.

Annie Self joined Intonation’s in-house team in September and brings with her a wealth of experience and enthusiasm.

The full-time Swedish to English translator is no stranger to Intonation, having worked with the company for the previous two and a half years on a freelance basis. With a Masters in Swedish from The University of Surrey, and experience of living and working in Sweden – for Volvo in Gothenburg and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Stockholm, Annie has been translating for more than 15 years.

Since joining Intonation Annie’s projects have included translating apps, invitations to tender, surveys, press releases and website copy for clients in sectors ranging from healthcare and fashion to construction and travel. Annie comes from a family of language lovers and says that words have always played a big part in her life. “I’ve always done what I’m naturally good at and my career has taken an organic pathway. “Working at Intonation is fantastic because of the people, the atmosphere and the ethos. I actually look forward to Mondays; it’s wonderful to be paid to do what I love,” Annie said.
