We’re proud to announce that our Commercial Director, Dan Peachey, has been elected to the Council of the Association of Translation Companies (ATC), the professional body for language services providers in the UK.
Dan said, “Intonation is proud to have been part of the Association of Translation Companies for many years. Personally, I’ve wanted to get involved in the ATC for some time and feel excited about being able to give something back to the industry. I am really looking forward to getting started and the challenges that lie ahead. I also think it’s important for our clients to know we are not only keeping abreast of all the latest developments in our industry but are actually influencing the provision of language services in the UK.”
With 17 years’ experience in the translation industry, Dan has led Intonation to being named the UK’s Fastest Growing Language Services Provider in the UK in 2016. In addition to his ATC Council role, Dan is the Vice Chairperson of Eulogia, the global alliance of translation agencies, and a member of the ATC’s ISO commenting group.
The ATC itself is considered one of the oldest language industry associations in the sector, having formed in 1976, and its membership is recognised as a benchmark of quality both in the UK and abroad. The ATC holds regular industry events, including its conference, which takes place this year September 21-22 in London and at which Intonation will be in attendance.
